Murillo was so good! That was top class defending from him.

Thanks for the breakdown. I also think today was a prime example of why Olivera despite the finishing woes is a vital part of the team. Thought his defensive work was incredible.

Olivera and Palencia were a dynamic duo on the day. So much work off the ball. Too bad Bogusz and mostly Bouanga didn’t finish the chances Olivera created.

Excellent breakdown - thanks for opening my eyes a bit more … my initial eye test was that we were parking the bus but I see the tactics you layes out … hopefully the team builds on this

It really was a bit of a trap for the Galaxy. I don’t think we’ll see this as an entire game plan (although there are always times you need to defend deep in some games). But specifically, the Galaxy interchange so much that staying disciplined helps keep gaps from forming but it also means when you win the ball, the Galaxy aren’t always in the best spots to stop counterattacks.

I I have to admit, I am one the first one's to dislike Cherundolo's tactics of the fast break with poor defending, and nothing else, but if the team can close all circuits of the opponent like they did on Saturday , i don't care if the opponent has the ball 60-75% of the time, it was a thing of beauty to see the Galaxy try and try and nothing!! I know that it gives a sense at any moment they will score, but at no moment the game was out of LAFC control it was just in illusion Galaxy was in cotrol, may be juat control of the ball but nothing else, of they creared 4 opportunities pf goal including the goal I will say it was too many, I was not worry at all them scoring, My only concern was towards the last 15 minutes the guys getting physically tired of chasing the ball and the Galaxy players that type of intensity and concentration for 90 minutes requires lots of good conditioning , I also reconize to your point for the first time our team completely understood the task ahead, this was not just any game it it was the game! they play very physical and it showed! they took no prisoners, I loved it..! My only negative would be with the last touch and poor decision by Bouanga, Boguzs and Olivera, if they were to slow down just a second and make the right decision or put the right touch on the ball, the game would have been put to bed very early!!

unfortunately we don't play the Galaxy every week, other wise same idea and density with a little more finesse in the lost touch when the opportunities are there to score we would be a force to deal with! but than again we don't play the Galaxy every week!!

even though I criticize Bouanga and Olivera and Boguzs, they played very good specially Olivera, he defended well and created opportunities, especially the one Bouanga missed it was a gorgeous play he created himself, too bad Bounaga want it to hit out of the park, and what can I say about Tillman he played like he was the leader of the team! on Boguzs I think he needs to be a little more physically aggressive, he is a timid or little weak in dived balls and when it comes to one on one clashes, and i have to give credit where credit is due, Murillo was on point, if he can only be this way every week!

But at the end the win was needed it and brings the confident back for the players and fans!!
